Federal defence procurement now requires Indigenous participation at contract award: a five percent minimum of contract value under the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business, with higher targets set on large programs and Indigenous participation plans tracked for the life of an ITB obligation. The policy is clear. The operational proof is the hard part.
Every vendor in a recommendation is checked against the federal Indigenous Business Directory, the national certification registry, federal contract award history, and field research on live contracts, and carries a verification tier a reader can see.
Capability is assessed per requirement. A vendor proven in one capability is not treated as proven in another; fit is scored fresh against the scope in question, every time, on one published rubric.
Where no single Indigenous vendor holds a capability, every viable pairing is enumerated and scored, so a gap becomes a teaming pathway. Where none exists, the gap is reported as a finding with its evidence.

The strongest tier, and the only one that earns the gold destination.
In spring 2026 the platform was run against the publicly disclosed scope of a $550 million federal defence hangar procurement, a modified design-build with a mandatory Indigenous benefits plan. Six weeks of research, nineteen work packages, every record locked with its evidence and date.
Figures are from the platform's own record of that demonstration, built from public sources against a published advance procurement notice. Named vendors and pairings are available under non-disclosure agreement. Whether any transaction qualifies for participation or ITB credit is determined by the Crown, not by the platform.

IndigiMatch was founded by Timmy Marvin Pelletier, a member of Fort William First Nation, and built at his office on Fort William First Nation, Ontario, from two decades of procurement experience on defence and infrastructure programs. It is owned by Aftawork AI Labs and operated by its founder. It is in use today on two Canadian aerospace in-service support programs, delivered under licence by an operator working with the prime contractor, and in single-capability demonstrations for primes considering it.
